Head of Services
I started my career in care working within the learning disability sector. After five years I decided to fly the nest and I obtained my first Registered Manager position for a start-up domiciliary service, I gained lots of experience within this role enabling me to move on to consult other new start up domiciliary services to gain a ‘Good’ on their CQC inspections.
After several years I moved over to adult residential care, managing care homes.I am now employed by Presidential Care as the Head of Service, overseeing the management of Lower Bowshaw View nursing home, Thorndene residential home and Thorndene domiciliary service.

Hi I am Shell and I am one of the registered managers at Thorndene Residential Home and Thorndene at Home.
I have worked in care for more than 20 years, I started as a care assistant, then went on to be a senior care assistant, then went on to be a team leader and now a manager. I've worked in residential care homes, nursing homes, and domiciliary, I've worked as a support worker for challenging behaviours for more than 5 years.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my dogs and go out for long walks.

Hi, my name's Sam and I am one of the registered managers at Thorndene Residential Home and Thorndene at Home. I have worked in care for over 30 years in residential nursing and EMI care home during this time I have obtained a vast wealth of experience.
In my spare time I like to go to try different cuisines of food and go out for walks with my dogs.

Upon visiting this home my immediate thought was how delightful it smelt in comparison to other care homes. The staff and management were very attentive and were happy to go the extra mile in providing great care.
